Termination & Exit Policy

This policy ensures fair, transparent, and respectful handling of departures from Collabs, protecting the community while allowing members to leave gracefully.

1Voluntary Exit

  • Any member may exit at any time by notifying the Director in writing.
  • The exit takes effect within 48 hours, and all access is revoked immediately.
  • Data is deleted per the Privacy Policy. There are no penalties for voluntary exit.
  • Leaders must give 14 days' notice to ensure a proper handover of responsibilities.

2Involuntary Termination

  • Triggered by serious Code of Conduct violations or Disciplinary Procedure outcomes.
  • Zero-tolerance offenses (e.g., threats, severe harassment) lead to immediate termination.
  • Terminations are decided by the Executive Team, and notifications are sent via email with the reason and evidence.
  • Appeals can be submitted within 7 days.

3Effects of Termination & Special Cases

  • Immediate loss of all access, removal from groups, and data deletion within 7 days.
  • Leaders lose their roles immediately. No participation certificates are provided for terminated members.
  • Inactive Members: No login for 120 days results in auto-suspension, then termination.
  • Graduation: Auto-transfers the member to Alumni status.
