Mentor Agreement & Commitment Form

By agreeing to this document, you voluntarily contribute as a Mentor to Collabs. Your guidance shapes the future of our students, and we ask that you uphold these 30 Key Commitments.

1Mission & Values

  • I will support the mission of uniting students for aligned learning, mentorship, and personal growth in a secure digital space.
  • I will uphold core values including pluralism, tolerance, self-reliance, empowerment, excellence, and community service.
  • I will align all contributions with academic curriculum standards and ethical guidelines.
  • I will participate in occasional feedback surveys to help improve the community.

2Role, Conduct & Neutrality

  • My involvement is entirely voluntary, carries no financial compensation, and I will contribute only when I have the capacity.
  • I will act in a supervisory/guiding role only and will not be responsible for formal grading.
  • I will address students respectfully, professionally, and avoid any form of favoritism, bias, or discrimination.
  • I will maintain neutrality in all academic and cultural discussions.
  • I will report any concerning behavior (e.g., bullying, harassment, cheating) to the Director immediately.

3Privacy, Platform & Content Rules

  • I will respect student privacy at all times, never share personal information, and adhere to the Privacy Policy.
  • I will use only approved platforms for interactions and will not record or share sessions without explicit consent.
  • I will not share confidential organizational information outside the community.
  • I will give credit to original content, encourage students to cite sources, and help them understand ethical digital behavior.
  • I will not promote external tuition, commercial products, or use the organization's name/logo for personal gain.

4Administrative Commitments

  • I will follow the Code of Conduct at all times.
  • I will support student leadership, provide constructive feedback, and participate in at least one session per term.
  • I will support the IT Club project when it involves my subject area.
  • I will inform the Director if I need to pause or end my mentorship. I agree that disputes will be resolved amicably.
  • I understand this agreement is valid for one academic year and is renewable.
